Perry La Marca is a composer, arranger, recording artist, pianist and conductor. Having been
active for the last 35 years, his credits include a wide range of projects. As a composer, his work
spans programmatic projects (The America’s Cup Theme) to national commercials (Toyota,
Hardee’s, Microsoft, Comcast) to feature films (Balto 3, Area Q., Big Game) to television (The
Sarah Silverman Program, Disney’s American Dragon and currently, Big Hero 6 - The Series).
His work as an arranger includes Emmy winning songs for the Nickelodeon series “Penguins of
Madagascar”, numerous charts for French pops orchestra “GOJJJ” as well as many orchestral &
choral recordings released under his own name here in the US and throughout Asia. These
recordings are prominently featured on Sirius/XM’s “Escape” channel. He has also orchestrated
on various TV shows & video games (Star Wars, From Russia With Love, Medal Of Honor,
Warhawk). For many years, Perry also worked with easy-listening legend Ray Conniff as pianist,
assistant conductor and recording supervisor. Since 1995, Perry has been a member of the
faculty at California State University, Long Beach, running the Film Scoring program. In addition,
he is a member of the Board of Directors for the Motion Picture Sound Editors.
